Hold On

When the going gets rough, perhaps what we need most is not what we first expect or assume. When we stop and think about what really matters, perhaps the most beautiful and unexpected gift is comfort and peace.

Just prior to the Lord's ascension to heaven, he offered his grieving and fearful apostles assurance that he would not leave them comfortless. He gives us the very same promise.

We are never alone. He has organized his kingdom on earth to lift us when we crave his support and help most. We just need eyes to see what heaven already sees in us, children with divine lineage.

Eighty percent of what happens to you is to provide opportunities for you to help and serve your fellowmen. The compassion you espouse and the empathy in your hearts is given so you may benefit those around you who stand in need of succor. That you might see this vision is my fondest hope.

You are a person of great worth. That's what I see in you.

John 14:27

  • New Testament
Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
